Founder, Lead Educator, and Curriculum Designer at Wild Minds Learning

Monica brings over 18 years of experience in alternative education, teaching in classrooms, camps, and outdoor learning spaces. Her work is rooted in ecological literacy, creativity, and social responsibility, with a passion for weaving storytelling, environmental studies, and reflective practices into meaningful learning experiences.

Since 2019, Monica has taught online, offering live classes in Earth science, botany, wildlife studies, and other nature-based subjects. Her approach is nature-based and imaginative, often incorporating visual art, storytelling, and mindfulness to nurture curiosity and joy. She is also a co-owner of a growing eco-village, where daily life is deeply connected to land stewardship, community living, and regenerative practices — experiences that continually inform her teaching.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to cultivating “solutionaries” — young people who observe the world with care, think critically, and imagine compassionate responses for people, animals, and the planet.

Bella is an elementary educator with a strong foundation in inclusive, learner-centered teaching and a deep commitment to meeting children where they are. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Louisville, where she graduated cum laude with a concentration in Moderate to Severe Disabilities. Her training and classroom experience emphasize differentiation, emotional safety, and thoughtful academic support for diverse learners.

Bella currently teaches math and science in an elementary school setting and has experience leading full classrooms across subjects including language arts, writing, science, and social studies. Her teaching is grounded in careful observation, flexibility, and responsiveness—adapting lessons to support a wide range of learning styles, strengths, and needs while fostering confidence and curiosity.

At Wild Minds Learning, Bella brings a structured yet compassionate approach to learning, blending clear academic goals with creativity, collaboration, and care. She is especially passionate about creating classrooms where children feel safe to express themselves, ask questions, and grow into capable, confident learners. Her work reflects a belief that education thrives when rigor and kindness exist side by side.
